Instruction at The Golf Station
Ball flight is the truth.
We read what the ball tells us — then use data to confirm it. Never the other way around.
“The ball doesn't lie. We just know how to listen.”
The Role of Technology
Data informs.
Experience teaches.
We use launch monitors and force plates to track ball flight, club delivery, and ground reaction forces. The data is invaluable. But data alone doesn't teach.
Technology measures what happened. An instructor interprets why it happened and maps the path to improvement.
We've worked with PGA Tour players and complete beginners. The constant is the same — the teaching happens in the conversation, not between student and screen.
Our Philosophy
What sets us apart
01
Ball Flight First
We identify what the ball is doing, then let the data confirm it. Launch monitors are a validation tool — not a compass.
02
Rooted in The Golfing Machine
Our instruction is grounded in Homer Kelley's Mechanical Framework — the most precise, geometry-based model in golf. The club must deliver the face, the path, and the pressure in the right sequence. Everything else follows.
03
No Packages. No Plans.
Every lesson stands on its own. We don't lock you into six-month commitments. You get our full attention, session by session, because that's what keeps the work honest.
04
We Teach What Works for You
There is no one swing for every body. We work within your physiology, your equipment, and your goals — building on what you have, not tearing it down.
Preparing for Your Session
What to bring
to your lesson
-
Your current set
We want to see the tools you actually play. Fitting and instruction are connected — your equipment is part of the conversation.
-
Your typical misses
Where does the ball go when things go wrong? Your miss pattern is one of the clearest windows into your swing.
-
Any injuries or physical limitations
Tell us upfront. We build instruction around your body, not in spite of it.
-
An honest goal
Are you trying to break 90? Fix a specific shot? Compete? The clearer your goal, the more focused the session.
Over two decades in DFW
More than 20 years of reading ball flight
The Golf Station has been in operation for more than 20 years. The laws of ball flight haven't changed. Our ability to measure them has.
What a Lesson Looks Like
The session,
step by step
-
I
Intake — reading what you bring
We start with a conversation: your misses, your goals, any physical considerations, and your current equipment. Context shapes everything that follows.
-
II
Ball flight observation
The ball flight tells us the story — where the face was, what the path was doing, how the delivery happened. We don't need the data yet to see what's happening.
-
III
Data validation
Data confirms what we see. Numbers align with flight — and when they don't, that's information too. This is diagnostics, not guesswork.
-
IV
Instruction rooted in The Golfing Machine
We give you one or two precise, actionable adjustments — grounded in geometry and biomechanics, not feel or trend. No information overload. No swing rebuilds in a single hour.
-
V
Exit with clarity
You leave knowing exactly what you're working on and why. No vague homework. No mystery. Just a clear picture of the next step in your game.
Coaching a junior?
We have a dedicated program for ages 5+.
Junior instruction is built around the player's age, body, and stage — with shared terminology across our team and athletic support through growth spurts. Every lesson stands on its own, no packages.

Thirty-five minutes. Most golfers retain more from a focused 35-minute session than from an hour.
Every lesson
stands on its own.
We don't sell packages. We don't lock you in. You pay for one session, you get everything we have — and you decide where it goes from there.
